A rather forbidding and damp house with a flat at the back which was half underground.

I think this photo was actually taken outside Ray and Hilda Gunston's flat in Putney but is here because this was Roger and Justine Sawkins' first car - it had a motorbike engine and the reverse gear was a lever which attached to the rear wheel. It was very maneuverable but not very powerful.
