The land was bought by Roger and Justine Sawkins in 1970 and they built a house on it, selling it in December 1971. Paul, Joachim, Dominic and Cara also lived there.

The block of land was covered mainly in long grass with a number of fine gum trees. There were some sheds at the back which were overgrown. |

The narrow driveway had gum trees down one side and bamboo down the other, which was an impressive entrance but not very wide. A fence was added on the outside of the trees. |
